Reported through the official website Master of Government Affairs and Administration Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Lecturer and Student Master of Government Affairs and Administration took part in the International Conference on Public Organization IX (ICONPO IX) in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand. ICONPO IX was held on August 28-29, 2019. The conference and presentation was held at Avani Hotel, Khon Kaen, Thailand. The conference with the theme “Engaging Citizens, Public and Private Organizations in Collaborative Governance for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): A Call for Action” was attended by various universities in Asia Pacific that have joined APSPA or the Asia Pacific Society for Public Affairs.

The keynote speaker who delivered the seminar at the conference was Rachel Nolan who is Director of the McKell Institute and the Queensland advisory board. The seminar was entitled “Towards Public Policy and Governance for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. ICONPO IX which involved Master of Government Affairs and Administration lecturer and students took place very well and hopes that the participation of universities in the Asia Pacific for ICONPO in the following year will continue to increase.
