On Monday (17/02) to Thursday (20/02), the Institute for Self-Accreditation of Business Management Economics and Accounting (LAMEMBA) conducted a Field Assessment of the Master of Economics Study Program (ME Study Program) of the Postgraduate Program (PPs) of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY). LAMEMBA is an institution tasked with carrying out the Accreditation process for Study Programs in Economics, Management, Business and Accounting, initiated by the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI), the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI), and the Indonesian Faculty of Economics and Business Association (AFEBI).
This accreditation or field assessment is the first field assessment of the UMY Postgraduate Master of Economics Study Program as an effort to achieve accreditation after obtaining an operational permit. In its implementation, LAMEMBA assigned two (2) assessors to conduct this assessment, namely Prof. Dr. Ambya, S.E., M.Si and Rini Yayuk Priyati, Ph.D.
The assessment was opened with remarks by the UMY Vice Rector for Human Resources, Prof. Dr. Nano Prawoto, S.E., M.Si and continued with remarks by the LAMEMBA Assessor, Prof. Dr. Ambya, S.E., M.Si. After the opening, the activity continued with presentations by the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) and study programs. In its implementation, UPPS is assisted by all supporting units at UMY. Furthermore, the assessor’s confirmation session with the Internal Quality Assurance Implementers, namely the Quality Assurance Agency (BPM), Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), and Quality Control Group (GKM), followed by a session with the Accreditation Team, a session with (middle) Management at UPPS, a session with Lecturers, and a session with Students.
The next activity is a site visit to the PPs UMY environment to review the facilities, facilities, and infrastructure in the ME PPs Study Program environment. On the next day, feedback was delivered and the Field Assessment Minutes were signed by the Assessors, UPPS Leaders, and the Accreditation Team. After signing the minutes, the activity was closed with a group photo session.
