Thursday (30/01), the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (PPs UMY) held the second Focus Group Discussion (FGD). This discussion was chaired by Prof. Ir. Sri Atmaja P. Rosyidi, M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D., P.Eng., IPU., ASEAN.Eng. as Director of PPs UMY and attended by all Heads of Study Programs and Secretaries of Study Programs within the UMY Postgraduate Program. This discussion presented two (2) speakers, namely UMY Professor and Head of the Islamic Politics Doctoral Study Program, Prof. Dr. Sunyoto Usman, M.A. and Head of the Education Development Institute (LPP) as well as Lecturer in English Language Education (PBI), Endro Dwi Hatmanto, S.Pd., M.A., Ph.D. This discussion continued the previous FGD related to entrepreneurial university which will be implemented by PPs UMY in the coming year.

The first speaker, Prof. Dr. Sunyoto Usman, M.A. conveyed several issues faced by the Postgraduate Program so far, such as social, economic, political, and cultural conditions. Sunyoto emphasized that this needs more attention. Before implementing an entrepreneurial university, it is necessary to develop the quality of academics and cooperation with education stakeholders.

Meanwhile, the second speaker, Endro Dwi Hatmanto, S.Pd., M.A., Ph.D. outlined some key characteristics of entrepreneurship in higher education. To become an entrepreneurial university, lectures are conducted with a mix-method, namely theory and practice. This must be supported and monitored directly by each study program, one of which is by encouraging students to use MyKlass (UMY e-Learning System). Endro added the importance of building partnerships and innovation centers to support the formation of entrepreneurial itself.
