From Monday, September 23rd to Wednesday, September 25th, the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) conducted an on-site assessment for the Master’s Program in Nursing (MKEP) by the Independent Accreditation Board for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). This on-site assessment was carried out to maintain the ‘Excellent’ accreditation for UMY’s MKEP. For the MKEP on-site assessment, LAM-PTKes assigned two assessors, namely Prof. Dr. Tintin Sukartini, S.Kp., M.Kes, and Dr. Wiwin Wiarsih, S.Kp., M.N.
The MKEP on-site assessment was divided into two days. On the first day, the event was opened in the afternoon with welcoming remarks by the Rector of UMY, Prof. Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., IPM., ASEAN, Eng, followed by a welcome address from the LAM-PTKes assessors. After the opening, presentations were given by the Program Management Unit (UPPS), namely the Postgraduate Program, and the Study Program, which is the Master’s Program in Nursing. The second session involved a visit to the facilities and infrastructure of both the Postgraduate Program and UMY.
On the second day of the MKEP, activities were conducted in parallel. Dr. Wiwin Wiarsih led the provision of data from the UPPS and the Study Program, followed by interviews with lecturers and students. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Tintin Sukartini conducted interviews with alumni, stakeholders, and educational staff. After the data presentation and interviews, the assessors cross-checked the data against the criteria with the respective PICs for each criteria.
On the third day of the MKEP, the on-site assessment was concluded with the reading and signing of the MKEP minutes. The event was closed with a group photo with all involved parties.
