Islamic Economics
The Islamic Economics concentration is one of the unique features of the Master's Program in Economics. It is designed to prepare professionals who can contribute to the fields of Islamic finance and banking, Islamic waqf and philanthropy management, financial technology, and the halal industry. The curriculum of the Master's Program in Economics with an Islamic economics concentration is also complemented by professional certifications to enhance the graduates' competencies. Professional certifications in the Islamic economics concentration include: public policy analyst occupational certification, cluster management of operational banking products and services, cluster management of operational information for banking products and services, Islamic banking risk management certification, and waqf fund management certification.
Sustainable Development Economics
The Mechanical Engineering program at Muhammadiyah University Yogyakarta prioritizes skill development through various strategies. Students are required to obtain specific competency certifications before graduation. The learning process is enhanced by inviting industry experts to teach alongside faculty. Additionally, students are exposed to real-world challenges through case studies and research projects. The presence of a Professional Certification Body under the National Certification Board further strengthens the program's focus on practical skills and industry relevance.
