The Graduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held a Ramadan religious gathering and iftar on Friday (17/5) at the Student Lounge on the 2nd floor of the UMY Graduate Building. By inviting Ustadz Syakir Jamaluddin, S.Ag., M.Ag as a speaker, this event was also attended by the Director, Vice Director, Head of Study Program, Secretary of Study Program, Home Base Lecturers, and education staff at the Graduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
Ustadz Syakir explained that the month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings. In this month of Ramadan, Allah multiplies the rewards and whoever performs worship solely for the sake of Allah, then his sins will be forgiven.
He also emphasized that whoever hopes for forgiveness from Allah, then do the deeds that Allah loves, namely: fasting in Ramadan, praying taraweh, reciting the Qur’an, and always remembering Allah SWT. There are three prayers that Allah SWT does not reject, and one of them is the prayer of a fasting person until they break their fast.
