On Thursday, September 29th, the School Committee and Teachers of SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta conducted an audience and silaturahmi at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Postgraduate Program Director’s Meeting Room on the 1st floor. The event was attended by 3 members of the committee and 3 teachers from SMP N 5 Yogyakarta, the Director of the UMY Postgraduate Program, and the Head of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering.
This audience was held to initiate a community service collaboration with the planning and supervision of the construction of the SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta sports hall. This community service will be carried out under the Master of Civil Engineering (MTS) program, starting in October 2022 until the completion of the sports hall construction, which is planned for mid-2023. This community service program will form a planning and supervision team involving lecturers and students from the MTS program, in collaboration with the Professional Engineer Program and the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This program will also be used as a location for internships and practical work for undergraduate Civil Engineering students to implement their knowledge of building planning and construction.
