As announced on the official website of the Master of Management Program, the Master of Management (MM) Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) has been reaccredited by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) and has successfully obtained “A” accreditation in 2020. The reaccreditation was conducted online on Wednesday and Thursday (11-12/11). This decision is based on BAN-PT Decree No. 7662/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/XI/2020. This decree is valid from November 24, 2020, to November 24, 2025. Previously, the program held “B” accreditation.
Dr. Arni Surwanti, M.Si., as the Head of the UMY Master of Management Program, and Dr. Nuryakin, MM., as the Secretary of the UMY Master of Management Program, expressed their gratitude for the prayers and support from all parties who have assisted in the smooth reaccreditation of the UMY Master of Management Program. After obtaining “A” accreditation, the MM program at UMY is committed to continuously improving the quality of academics and administrative services. The MM program at UMY has a target of becoming a globally-oriented Master of Management program that excels in science and technology, based on Islamic values in Southeast Asia by 2025.
The components assessed in this accreditation include the study program accreditation form (IIIA), the faculty accreditation form (IIIB), and the study program self-evaluation. There are 7 standards considered: (1) vision, mission, goals, and socialization; (2) governance system, leadership, management system, quality assurance, feedback, and sustainability; (3) student recruitment system, student and graduate profiles, alumni association; (4) recruitment, development, monitoring, and evaluation system for permanent and non-permanent lecturers, efforts to improve human resources, and education personnel; (5) curriculum, requirements for pursuing a Master of Management, thesis research, efforts to improve the academic atmosphere; (6) management of funds, facilities and infrastructure, and information systems; (7) research by permanent lecturers, community service activities, and cooperation with institutions.
