UMY Postgraduate Program Graduation Ceremony, Second Period, Academic Year 2021/2022

On Monday, December 6th, the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held its second period graduation ceremony and final study lecture for the 2021/2022 academic year. This was the first time the event was held offline since the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 56 graduates attended, with 48 from the Master’s program and 8 from the Doctoral program. The largest number of graduates from the UMY Postgraduate Program in this period was from the Master of Nursing program with 17 graduates.

Best Graduates of UMY Postgraduate Program:

• Best Graduate and Cum Laude for Master’s Program: Diana Mutiara Bahari; GPA 3.93 (Master of International Relations)
• Best Graduate and Cum Laude for Doctoral Program: Christine Balatero Tenorio; GPA 3.93 (Doctor of Islamic Politics)
• Graduate with Best Thesis: Annisaa Dayu Sinatrya (Master of Hospital Administration). Thesis Title: “Strategies for Prevention and Control of Infection in Dental Health Services during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Lower Middle-Income Countries”.
• Graduate with Best Dissertation: Salahudin (Doctor of Islamic Politics). Dissertation Title: “Analysis of Political Networks in Corruption Practices in Regional Financial Management in Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City”.

The final study lecture for the Postgraduate Program carried the theme “Political Economy of the Pandemic, Bipolar World, and Technological Singularity”. Drs. Suwarsono Muhammad, M.A was invited as the speaker.
