On Tuesday (03/09), the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta held a graduation ceremony and final study lecture for the first period of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The event was held at the Amphiteathre on the 4th Floor of the UMY Postgraduate Building and was attended by students and several academic lecturers. In this period, the Postgraduate Program graduated 75 students, consisting of 62 from the Master’s Program and 13 from the Doctoral Program.
The event was opened with the recitation of the Al-Qur’an and a speech by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the UMY Postgraduate Program, Prof. Dr. Zuly Qodir, M.Ag. The following are the best graduates in this first period:
- Master of Islamic Studies (MIAI) was achieved by Dandy Yusuf Alfasyah, Hs with a GPA of 3.99
- Master of Hospital Administration (MARS) was achieved by Nurul Fitrah with a GPA of 3.86
- Master of Government Affairs and Administration (MIP) was achieved by Utami Nur with a GPA of 4.00
- Master of International Relations (HIPM) was achieved by Novrel Esa Yubel with a GPA of 3.96
- Master of Law (HPM) was achieved by Indriati Modeong with a GPA of 4.00
- Doctoral Program of Islamic Educational Psychology (S3 PPI) was achieved by Fitri Feliana with a GPA of 3.9
- Doctoral Program of Management (PSDM) was achieved by Budiman Al-Iman with a GPA of 3.77.
The best Postgraduate Program graduates are:
- The best and cumlaude graduate of the Master’s Program was Utami Nur from the Government Affairs and Administration with a GPA of 4.00
- The graduate with the best thesis achievement was Olivya Anakotta with the thesis title, “Effectiveness of Providing Education Using the Chemicare Web Application in Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy in Improving Self-Efficacy and Quality of Life at RSUP Prof. Dr. R.D Kandou Manado (Scopus Q3 Indexed Journal Publication)”
- The best and cumlaude graduate of the Doctoral Program was Fitri Feliana from the Doctoral Program of Islamic Educational Psychology with a GPA of 3.9
- The graduate with the best dissertation achievement was Ahmad Idris with the dissertation title, “Financial Literacy as a Mediator of the Influence of Intellectual Capital and Risk Attitude on Business Sustainability (Scopus Q2 Indexed Journal Publication 1 article and Q3 2 articles)”.
The event continued with a final study lecture with Dr. drs. Sugiharto, M.Sc., M.Fin. as the speaker, with the title “Sustainable Development Post-Crisis Era”. He said, “Weapons to face the phase of life are a hoe, a sword, and a kris. A hoe is a symbol of the economic function, a sword is a symbol of the function of power, and a kris is a symbol of the function of heirloom. Moreover, Kris is a symbol of social life in the form of light practices that are carried out consistently.”
The event ran smoothly and ended with a group photo.
