On Saturday, August 13th, the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (PPs UMY) held its fourth Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) study for the 2021/2022 academic year. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this study was conducted online to allow PPs UMY students who were not in Yogyakarta to participate. For this study, PPs UMY invited Dr. Adib Sofia, M.Hum, a lecturer at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, as a speaker. Dr. Adib Sofia was considered the right person to deliver the material for this study as PPs UMY carried the theme “Progressive Muslim Women in the Disruptive Era”. Dr. Adib Sofia, along with the moderator Dr. Zuly Qodir, M.Ag, delivered several important materials regarding Muslim women in the disruptive era.
In this study, the number of participants exceeded 300. In addition to requiring all PPs UMY students to attend and participate in this study, the study program leaders of PPs UMY were also present and participated. Although this activity was limited to Zoom meetings, it did not hinder the enthusiasm of PPs UMY students to discuss with the speaker.
