On Tuesday, October 8th, the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) underwent an on-site assessment conducted by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the Master’s Program in Law. This on-site assessment is part of the Master’s Program in Law’s efforts to achieve the ‘Excellent’ accreditation. For this assessment, BAN-PT assigned two assessors, Dr. Ahmad Irzal Fardiansyah, S.H., M.H, and Dr. Hery Firmansyah, S.H., M.Hum., MPA, to conduct the assessment at UMY.
The on-site assessment for the Master’s Program in Law took place concurrently with the assessment for the Master’s Program in Accounting at UMY. The assessment for the Master’s Program in Law was targeted to be completed in one day. The event was opened with welcoming remarks by the Rector of UMY, Prof. Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., IPM., ASEAN, Eng, followed by a welcome address from the BAN-PT assessors. After the opening, the assessors proceeded with cross-checking data with the Program Management Unit (UPPS) and the Study Program. In carrying out this process, the UPPS and the Study Program were assisted by all supporting units at UMY. After the data cross-checking, the assessors conducted parallel interviews with lecturers, education staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders. Following the interviews, the assessors visited the facilities of the UMY Postgraduate Program to check the facilities and infrastructure before conducting independent work. The on-site assessment for the Master’s Program in Law was concluded with the reading and signing of the minutes and a group photo.
