On this occasion, there were 69 graduates from 8 study programs who had been declared as UMY Postgraduate master’s and doctoral graduates. In this event, there was also a public lecture themed “Muhammadiyah and Health Problems in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution era” delivered by the Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Dr. Agus Taufiqurrahman, M.Kes, Sp.S.
The Best Graduates of each UMY Postgraduate Study Program are as follows:
The Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of UMY Postgraduate Program, Dr. M. Nurul Yamin, M.Si., in his speech said that UMY Postgraduate graduates must be true learners who are able to think critically and scientifically. “UMY Postgraduate graduates must have three main attitudes. First, have a critical and scientific way of thinking. Second, have an attitude to be a true learner. Thesis and Dissertations are not the final work but make them as the initial work for the next big steps. Third, as graduates of Muhammadiyah University, they must be able to play an active role as the spearhead of the Muhammadiyah movement in various fields of building an advanced Islamic civilization,” said Yamin.
Furthermore, he said that health is one of the important indicators in human life. Indonesia is ranked in the human development index which cannot be said to be above or below. One of them is health services and other accesses. Therefore, this becomes a problem for us. Muhammadiyah has long chosen the health sector to develop strategic human resources. Because in health problems, it can cover all areas of education in every study program owned by Muhammadiyah universities.
