On Friday, March 22nd, and Saturday, March 23rd, the Graduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) underwent an on-site assessment for its Doctoral Program in Islamic Educational Psychology (S3 PPI) conducted by the Indonesian Higher Education Accreditation Board (LAMDIK). This on-site assessment aimed to achieve the “Excellent” accreditation for UMY’s S3 PPI program. Notably, this was the first time UMY had undergone an on-site assessment with LAMDIK, having previously done so with BAN-PT and LAM-PTKes.
The LAMDIK assessors assigned for the S3 PPI assessment were Prof. Dr. Drs. Mungkin Eddy Wibowo, M.Pd., Ba., Kons (from Semarang State University) and Prof. Dr. Adi Atmoko, M.Si., M.Pd (from Malang State University).The two-day assessment began with opening remarks by the Rector of UMY, Prof. Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., IPM., ASEAN, Eng, followed by a welcome speech from the LAMDIK assessors. Subsequent to this, presentations were given by the Program Study Management Unit (UPPS) and the Doctoral Program in Islamic Educational Psychology. The second session involved interviews with students, alumni, and users of the S3 PPI program. The final session of the first day consisted of interviews with the academic staff of the UMY Graduate Program. The day concluded with the assessors conducting a site visit of the UMY Graduate Program’s facilities.
On the second day of the assessment, a micro-teaching session was conducted by Dr. Fitriah M. Suud, M.Ag, a lecturer selected by the assessors to demonstrate teaching practices. Following the micro-teaching session, preparations were made for the closing of the S3 PPI assessment, which included reading and signing the minutes of the assessment. The event concluded with a group photo of all involved parties.
