On Saturday, March 18th, the Graduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held a discussion on the implementation of the Double Degree program with De La Salle University Philippines. The discussion was attended by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, De La Salle University, Dr. Rhoderick V. Nuncio, the Vice Rector V for Cooperation and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc, the Director of the UMY Graduate Program, Ir. Sri Atmaja P. Rosyidi, M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D., P. Eng.IPU., ASEAN.Eng, along with the Head of the Master of Public Administration Study Program, Dr. Suswanta, M.Si, and the Head of the Master of International Relations Study Program, Dr. Ahmad Sahide, M.A, as the implementing study programs of the Double Degree Program from the UMY Graduate Program.
In the discussion, it was planned that the program would be implemented this year with a timeline that had been agreed upon by both universities, and information and selection would be fully handed over to the implementing study programs at the UMY Graduate Program.
Dr. Rhoderick V. Nuncio explained the implementation system of the double degree program. UMY graduate students will effectively study at DLSU for four months, and conversely, DLSU students will study at UMY for four months. In this discussion, it was also conveyed that DLSU is open to UMY lecturers who want to take sabbatical leave at DLSU.
