As reported on the official website of the Master of Laws Program, the need for journal publications is currently very high for both students and lecturers. Among the various reasons, a lack of understanding of research methodology, mastery of writing theories, access to information, and low scientific writing standards are problems that need to be addressed immediately. Therefore, it is necessary to provide guidance on writing scientific articles for students to encourage them to better understand scientific work and take steps to publish their work at both the national and international levels.
The UMY Master of Laws Program has held an “INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL TRAINING” on December 1-4, 2020. This training was conducted as an effort to provide insights and skills to Master of Laws students at UMY in writing journals or scientific papers with international standards.
Therefore, it is hoped that this training can encourage students to write and improve the quality of journals and the level of publication of international standard journals, especially in the environment of the Master of Laws Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
