As announced on the official Magister Keperawatan website, the Magister Keperawatan (MKep) program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) has held its first online overseas clinical practice. The program was officially launched online on Monday, January 25, 2021.
“This year’s overseas clinical practice is very different from previous years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s activities will be conducted online. We will still strive to provide overseas clinical practice facilities for our students. This activity is in collaboration with International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Cebu Normal University, Philippines,” explained Fitri Arofiati S.Kep., Ns., MAN., Ph.D., Head of the Magister Keperawatan Study Program at UMY, during the opening of the program.
Fitri added that the series of overseas clinical practice programs will also involve the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Branch Leaders in Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, and Thailand to assist in community service activities. In addition to community service, this Overseas Clinical Practice program will also hold a Guest Lecture which will be attended by Magister Keperawatan students from UMY and other Muhammadiyah-Aisyiyah universities throughout Indonesia for free.
The online Magister Keperawatan UMY Overseas Clinical Practice program is expected to provide new knowledge and a memorable experience for students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This proves that Magister Keperawatan UMY is consistent in providing the best quality education in Indonesia, as evidenced by its A accreditation.
