On Monday, December 4th, the Graduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held its second graduation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic year at the 4th-floor Amphitheater of the UMY Graduate Program. This graduation was attended by 48 prospective graduates, consisting of 41 Master’s students and 7 Doctoral students.
The event began with an opening ceremony followed by a welcome speech and the reading of the graduation minutes by the Deputy Director for Human Resources and Finance of the UMY Graduate Program, Dr. Titih Huriah, Ns., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.Kom. The event continued with a final lecture by Dr. Zainal Arifin Mochtar, S.H., LL.M., on the topic of “Legal Mafia in Indonesia.” In his material, Dr. Zainal Arifin Mochtar, S.H., LL.M. presented his views on the legal mafia in Indonesia. As the moderator of the final lecture, Dr. Ahmad Sahide, M.A., stated that the UMY Graduate Program encompasses not only social programs but also health, economics, business, and engineering, and that it is important for graduates to understand the concept of the legal mafia in Indonesia. Dr. Zainal Arifin Mochtar, S.H., LL.M. expressed his hope that the graduates of the UMY Graduate Program, as individuals with the privilege of completing a master’s or doctoral degree, would be able to contribute to society.
