The Master of Nursing Program at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Postgraduate Program has officially obtained A Accreditation from LAM-PTKes 2019. The decision letter can be found in the LAM-PTKes Decree No: 0662/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Mag/XI/2019. The UMY Master of Nursing Study Program is the first private university Master of Nursing program to obtain A accreditation.
“After waiting for a long time, and Alhamdulillah, it has been answered with ‘innallaha ma’ashobirin’ (Verily, Allah is with those who are patient). Thank you to all parties for their assistance and synergy. This is our first step. As the first private Master of Nursing to be accredited A, we will certainly be watched and witnessed, and the evidence of that decision. Therefore, let us all work together to maintain our spirit on this ever-ascending path,” said the Head of the Master of Nursing Study Program, Fitri Arofiati, S.Kep., Ns., MAN., Ph.D. at the Master of Nursing thanksgiving event (18/12).
In addition, the Director of the Postgraduate Program, Ir. Sri Atmaja P. Rosyidi, M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D., P. Eng. IPM also said in his speech that everyone, be it lecturers, students, staff, leaders, or even security guards, whatever their role, has made a very important contribution to achieving this result. Hopefully, this good result will be a blessing for all of us. May more of us be present for the community, present as a light in the midst of society.
The Vice Rector for Cooperation and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc also stated, “First, we must be grateful for having obtained A accreditation after 10 years of waiting. To get an Excellent value, of course, it must go through commitment and consistency. After we have succeeded in getting the best, we must maintain our commitment and consistency. So if the commitment goes up and down, then for sure the quality will decrease. If we cannot maintain our commitment, it will certainly be difficult to be consistent.”
